Good Morning, Sunshine! It's the very last day of this month! How WONDERFUL!!! Proverbs 18:10 says, "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs to it and is safe." Come on, LET'S RUN!!!
It's Saturday - You can go ahead and BREATHE NOW! Drop all that weekly baggage! It's way too heavy of a burden to carry all that, don't you think? All that pride, dishonesty, unforgiveness, speaking death, living for yourself, the making of messes, that short fuse............. The list is endless! Aren't you GLAD THERE'S A SAVIOR???
Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! He came and died, so we didn't have to live in death and destruction! He paid for EVERY sin you can possibly imagine. His Blood that flowed, cleanses us from unrighteousness. And, because He was Victorious, we can LIVE IN FREEDOM!!!
Don't you WANT to walk in Freedom? All the trappings of this world HAVE to let you go when they hear the Name of Jesus! He turns your darkness, into LIGHT! Sorrow into JOY! Sickness into HEALTH! Brokenness into NEW! Shame and guilt into GRACE and MERCY!
Even if it's only Rest you need, you can find it in JESUS! He is your Hiding Place! In His Presence there is fullness of JOY! You know, you can give yourself permission to relax today! Do something fun! Or do nothing at all! Give your stress to Jesus, dear and lovely Friends! All that striving to get things done, all those hissy fits, everything that has overwhelmed you, whatever has caused you to fear and doubt God, the running HERE and running THERE, and those "I need more than 24 hours a day!"
STOP IT....... DROP IT....... SNAP OUT OF IT....... There is more to life than being bound by the things of this world!!! These temporary, empty, worthless things that we try to control. It's all so EXHAUSTING, isn't it? Try BLOWING BUBBLES!!! Sound ridiculous??? DO IT ANYWAY!!! Fly a kite! Have hot chocolate and cookies! Draw, write, create! Whatever is weighing you down, GET RID OF IT! Let the SONSHINE, breathe you back to life! Find your Peace and Joy, then, KEEP THEM! Let today be rid of briefcases, conference calls and deadlines! Stop adulting today! Use your imagination! Let go of hate! PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!! And, when you're done, PRAY SOME MORE! Bake a cake! Do things with your kids!!! AGAIN, the LIST IS ENDLESS.......... Just remember, today all things are NEW and you can walk in FREEDOM! It's all because of JESUS! Because of Him, just think, today YOU CAN BEGIN AGAIN!!!
